Meet The President

Robert Gagne - President

Bob Gagne, the current president, obtained a degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts in 1994. During college, he worked for a small government contractor as an equipment and manufacturing technician. After college, he secured a position with Autoroll Print Technologies (formerly Autoroll Machine) as a Controls Engineer. There he played an integral role in the R&D of the complete Padflex (1000,2000, & 3000) product line(s) while developing his engineering skills - becoming proficient with AutoCAD, control system design & integration, and machine programming.

After leaving Autoroll in 1998, he became a Senior Project Engineer for Baker Motion Control Systems, a system integrator handling their largest client. This was the largest project ever undertaken by Baker and involved a 64 axis continuous motion machine producing parts at an astounding 600 parts/minute!

While working at Baker, Mr. Gagne started providing consulting services to a few key clients. He primarily provided programming and troubleshooting assistance but also participated in the development of several automated systems.

In April of 2000 he founded BG Automation, and left Baker. Today, he has a background in both mechanical and electrical systems and 15 years of experience with the design, development, management and integration of automation and capital equipment.
